Employment Preparation Program

The Employment Preparation Program (EPP) is a job readiness program designed to enhance the skills of provincially incarcerated individuals, and provide the necessary preparation to gain employment upon release.

The EPP program is made up of two full day sessions, the EPP program is currently provided at Fraser Regional Correctional Centre to individuals who are nearing release into the community. This program connects participants to the support we provide through our Community Services Office and together, these efforts helps to combat homelessness.

Skill development highlighted in the program includes:

• How to make professional resumes and cover letters
• How to network while looking for employment
• How to find resources and support in the community while looking for work
• Interviewing skills
• Tools for finding and maintaining employment
• Maintaining positive interpersonal relationships
